Seeking Board Members

Have you ever experienced the magic, beauty & wonder of a play throwing open the doors to a new world? Serving on Mirror Stage Company's board of directors is a way to make that magic a part of your everyday life, and help bring that magic to others. As a Mirror Stage board member, your contributions of expertise, time & support are critical to the survival of that magic.

• Board member responsibilities include:
  • Setting policy;
  • Supervising & evaluating operations in a financially, ethically & artistically sound manner;
  • Representing MSC in the community & building enthusiasm for MSC programs;
  • Promoting attendance at plays & events;
  • Recruiting new board members, advisors & supporters;
  • Resource Development.

• Board members are required to:
  • attend board meetings on a regular basis (75% minimum) & important related meetings;
  • actively participate on a committee;
  • volunteer for & willingly accept assignments;
  • actively participate in annual evaluation & planning efforts.
• Each board member must make a personal financial gift that characterizes leadership, and (choose two of the following):
  • assist with fund-raising event
  • help implement an annual evaluation & coaching for the Managing Artistic Director
  • speak at a community event about the theatre
  • help lead an annual assessment of the board's performance.
